The course provides specific training
concentrating on the functionality and effective
use
of the JRC ECDIS onboard, and is
intended for those who will be in-charge of a
navigational
watch on vessels equipped
with the JRC ECDIS. Likewise, this training course
is designed
to familiarize the
shi
p’s crew with their onboard
equipment as required by PSC, Vetting and
ISM Code.
OBJECTIVES

the end of the training, trainees should:

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The Type-Specific ECDIS
Training - FURUNO Course is open to seafarers who:
1. have at least an Officer-in-Charge
Navigation Watch (OIC-NW) License and would be
serving as an officer on his next
vessel assignment
2. will serve a
IBF/JSU agreement covered vessel
3.
possess an IMO Model Course 1.27 (ECDIS Generic
Course) Certificate of Completion
from
an authorized training provider
4. are
endorsed by an IMMAJ member company or its
affiliate manning agent.
COURSE CERTIFICATE
Satisfactory attendance, participation
in lectures and exercises, and passing remark on
both practical and written assessment
entitles the trainee to a certificate of
completion.
