Responsibilities

Monitor the
subcontractor

s work and
make sure they comply
to the
environmental concerns Record the information
details
with the Subcontractor and
inform EMS requirement to them
before
the works started Communicate and review the
environmental concerns with the EMS

Monitor & review the
performance of the subcontractors for
their overall management on yearly
basis
Overall review the environmental
concerns with PTE Engineer
and
Subcontractor. Receive/review the EIA from the
subcontractor.
Make sure the
all work & activity comply with the
environmental protection concerns &
reply the survey to EMS
officer.

6.1
6.1.1
All work and activity must comply to
Philips in-house EMS requirement.
PTE group should monitor all the
activity during the process and also the
condition of the
facility/equipment will not cause any environment
impact
or pollution.
6.1.2
I
f there is any waste
generated, they should be handled according to
the General Waste
Management Procedure QKW-666-EMS0018.
6.1.3
In case
the situation is out of control the General
Emergency Response
Plan QKW-666-EMS0012 should be followed
and inform the
EMS
Officer to registrate the incident according to
Environmental
Registration
Procedure QKW-666-EMS0003.
6.1.4
Before
the Subcontractor starts to work, make sure that
they understand
our EMS
requirement and fill in the QKW-666-EMS0014 form
2. The record
should
be kept for one year by PTE for follow up and
review use.

Waste Collection Service
6.2.1
Collect and
re-build the waste according to the General Waste
Management
Procedure QKW-666-EMS0018 and they
shall be handled separately.
6.2.2
All
disposed re-usable waste should be recorded on the
record form

Manager should be responsible for maintaining a
list of approved
waste
collector/contractor with appropriate waste
disposal licenses.
