初中英语常见情态动词的用法
一、
can
could
的用法
①
表示能力,意思是
“
能,能够,会
”
。
can
表示现在的能力时,
既可表示做某桩具体事情的
“
能力
”
,
也可泛指一般的
能力(

,可用于肯定句,否
定句,疑问句等句中。例如:
* He can speak
English. (

但若表示现在决定将来是否有能力做某事,则可用

) .
* He was able to translate
the article without a dictionary.

只用于人和
动物作主语的句子中。

的用法
