The Merchant of Venice
(1596) was recognized as Shakespeare
representative works of his
early comic
creations, and at the same time, it was the
richest social satire of the works. In this
work,
the
author
shaped
a

of
distinctive
humanistic
new
images,
but
the

the

The
most
significant
character
of
Shylock
was
greed
and
miserliness.
As
a
usurious
businessman, mercenary is his nature

Although Shylock treats their servant

behavior looks like

his slaves

jewelry, gold and silver with a youth. Then they
elope. The
news
makes
him
nearly
mad.
Shylock
is
angry
with
her
daughter
action,
moreover
he
was
heart-
broken with the loss of treasure. Because of it,
he was issued a vicious curse:
daughter
died in my feet, and these jewelry are all in her
ears; and I hope she is at my feet, those
money is buried in her
coffin!
Shylock has the lust for money,
and centrally reflects in his relationship with
Antonio. He has a
section monologue:
lends people money without any
interest, and forces us those creditors in Venice
to down the
interest.” Antonio borrow
money never take interest,
