1. Last Saturday, we went to Xishan by bus. It was March 12

, Tree Planting Day.

We went to Xishan to plant trees. Teacher divided us into three groups: the first

group used spades to dig holes; the second group was in charge of bringing young

trees and putting them into the holes. Then, the first group filled the holes. The last

group carried the water to water the young trees. At last, we totally planted five

trees. We were all very delighted. Trees are helpful to our environment, which can

stop the wind and protect water from losing and soil from eroding. So we should

plant more trees.

2. I was very happy to get your letter yesterday. I knew that you missing hometown

so much. I will introduce the great changes in Tianjin. A decade ago, there was only

one subway. Now, four subway lines provide more convenience for people; and more

subway lines are being built. In the near future, people can get anywhere by subway.

and more parks were built. And the living standards also enhanced much, people

earned more money and enjoyed lives much. I hope that you can be back and enjoy

4. Do you know what I want t be in the future? I have a dream, my dream is to be a

doctor. I enjoy saving patients from their sufferings. To make my dream come true, I

want to enter a medical college in the future. I study hard at math, Chinese and

English. I think I will always study hard at physics, chemistry and biology, which are

all helpful to my future doctor career. I often talk my dream to my teacher and also

the morning, we met in the Xigu Park at nine o

clock. I saw much litter on the road,

dirty pictures on the wall and much gum on the road. It was quite terrible when we

saw them. Then, we picked up litter, clean the wall and wiped the gum. Ultimately,

the park became cleaner and more beautiful, which deserved our hard work for the

whole day. Now, it's time for all the people in the society to protect the environment.

7. Everybody wants to study English well. It is not only because we can get high

marks in English exam, but also English is useful to our future life. How to study

English well? It is quite a question. Here are my ways to share with you. First, I take

lots of notes in every class, and try my best to memorize them. In my essay I will

use them. Second, I always watch English movies and listen to English tapes to

improve my pronunciation and listening. Next, studying with a group is also a good

way to learn. Last, in daily life, I use English as often as ways are very

useful. I think you will be a better English language learner.

8. I enjoy reading books very much, because there are lots of interesting things in

them. Two years ago, I didn't like reading very much. I had plenty of time, but I

spent lots of time on playing with computers. When I was very young, I didn't think

reading book was interesting, because I found nothing more interesting than the

computer games. I've changed now. I enjoy reading novels, because there're lots of

interesting stories. I love to read Harry Potter. That's a good novel. I know that it is

one of the best-sellers in England. I always lose myself in the interesting stories.

9. Everybody has different ideas about learning English, but I think I learn English for

enjoying life. There are more and more people coming from different countries, and

the most familiar language to them is , if I want to introduce myself and

make friends with them, I need to learn English. English is also good for travelling.

When I travel to overseas, it is English that most people can understand. English is
