这样做，
对于一些字母较少的
单词还容易记住，但对一些字母较
多的，记起来就困难了。并且有时
字母记住了，但在排列时，又排错了。实际上，背字母
记单词是记忆
单词的一个误区。那么，应如何记忆单词呢？
如何通过音标记住英语单词？
首先，
先记住固定字母组合常发的音，
其次遇见新单词时，
要根据字母组合
划分一个单词，这样就能做到会读就会拼了，对于一些较长
、音节较多、无拼写
规律的单词，
这种方法很有效也很方便；<

但如果有规律的话，
譬如有前缀或后缀
的
就把一个单词拆成若干个记忆。

一、根据读音记单词。
英语是拼读语言，大部分单词符合
拼读规则。因而，只要读音读
准了，大部分单词是比较容易根据读音拼写出来。在学习新
单词时，
先单词的读音读准，
然后根据拼读规则记单词。
记单词时重点记忆元
音字母和含有元音字母的字母组合。因为辅音字母
的读音比较简单，
基本上同字母的音标相一致，而元音字母比较复杂，在开音节、闭音<

节中有不同的发音，
不同的字母和字母组合有相同的发音，
而相同的
字母又有不同的发音。因而记单词时，先把单词读准，然后再
仔细看
是哪个元音或字母组合发这个音，
记住元音或字母组合，
单词就基本
记住了。
二、记熟一些常见的字母组合。
我们在学汉字时，
并不是每一个汉字都是一笔一划地去记忆，
而
多数是根
据部首组合来记忆。
在记英语单词时，
我们也可以借鉴记汉
字的方法，
把一些常见的字母组合做为一个整体来看待，
同其它一些
字母或字母组合组成新单词，这样，就大大减轻了记忆难度，如
常见

，它同

组合在一起就成为

ght”

合就成为
“thought”
。
这样的字母组合有一些，
我们把它记熟了，
做为
一个整体，遇到含有这样的字母组合的单词，记起来就简单多了。
三、通过比较记忆单词。
有些单词的词形十分相近。
在记忆时可采用比较的方式找出不同
点，着重进行记忆，这样，既容易
记住，又不会将单词搞混。如我们
已经学了
“right”
这个词，在记
“might”
时，我们就可
将单词比较记忆，
用
“m”
代替
“r”
就行了。我们可以回顾一下这样的单词还有
“right”
、
“light”
等。
