.Introduction
The writer of this novel---Kenneth
Grahame , a British man who was born on 8
March 1859 in Edinburgh Scotland and
died on 6 July 1932 in Pangboarne Berkshire,
most famous for The
Wind in
the Willows in ’s one of the classic of children’s
literatures. In his early childhood,
his father began to drink heavily after his mother
died and then he moved with his younger
sister to live with his grandmother whose
home
is
on
the
barks
of
the
River
Thames
in
the
Berkshire
village
of
Cookham
in
Southern England. He married Elspeth
Thomson in 1899,but the marriage was not a
happy
one.
They
had
only
one
child,
a
boy
named
Alastair
whose
nickname
was
“Mouse”
born
in
blind
in
one
eyes
and
pl
agued
by
health
problems
throughout
his
short life. He wrote this book and told
these stories to his son before sleeping. He was
rewarded by these stories and soon , he
published this book in choose this
book because it not only bring some
life stories of these animals for us but
friendship
and
brotherliness
between
them.
We
also
can
feel
a
father’s
love
for
his
son
at
the
same time.
