i don`t believe in law

good afternoon, honorable judges, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen.

today i want to share my view on law.

to tell the truth, alhough i am a sophomore major in law,i don`t believe in it.i

mean when acting we ought not to put lawful first. because in my mind, things that

worth believing in are supposed to be noble and believe the world could

be beautiful through arousing and strengthen kindness of man. but law is our last

baseline and insurance, whose presumption is that human are wicked. they keep a

watchful eye on the weakness of human nature,so it aim at fighting against

when

we

have

no

other

ways

to

recover,will

us

appeal

to

a

reasonable

person,how

can we regard the last resort as our faith?

in

addition,we

will

realize

that

law

itself

has

got

bogged

down

in

ineffectiveness

and injustice while reviewing the current events.

facing

the

rough

administrative

enforcement

of

legislation

by

urban-management

officers,xiajunfeng,a

hawker

,killed

two

enforcers

in

was

sentensed

to

death

again

by

the

judgement

of

the

last

resort,upholding

the

original

these trials,in support of the official, courts excluded all the

testimonies

of

legal

witnesses

regardless

of

the

rights

and

benefits

of

the

defendant .it is distinct corruption and a violation of urban management

system

is

obviously

irrational,what`s

worse,this

case

makes

me

feel

that

confronting

unreasonable

mechanism,individuals

have

no

choice

but

to

be

sacrifice

of

it

because

of the unfair judgement. (

in order to handle these social problems ,most people appeal for sound rule of

far as they are concerned, law can offer solutions to every problem simply

and efficiently in a world struggling with rapid industrialization.

nevertheless,is

legislation

the

source

of

the

scandals

and

fundamental

solutions

to them?

kant haw ever said:there are two things make me deeply shocked in my innermost

being:the starry heavens above me and the moral law within

is

morality

that

the

measurement

for

one`s

conscience

and

the

primary

rule

we ought to abide requirements of morality is much stricter than those of

this reason, one could be legally innocent but morally be

strict

with

yourself

under

this

discipline,shall

we

prevent

ourselves

from

breaching

law and regulations easily, which would be binding a word, rule of morality

should be underlying. law is not everything, but just as what hooks and rope to

climber ,.we can`t live without it.i am sure that a true harmonious society will be

built as long as rule of law and rule of morality be joint with each other to shine

over our heads.

篇二:英语演讲

美国的法律

the american law

what does it mean to obey the law? that depends on where you are. different

cultures

have

very

different

views

of

obeying

the

law.

in

some

cultures,

law-abiding

citizens

try

to

keep

the

letter

of

the

law.

that

is,

whatever

the

law

says,

they

do.

in

other

cultures,

good

citizens

live

by

the

spirit

of

the

law.

they

see

the

law

only

as

a

general

guideline.

often

they

obey

the

law

only

when

someone

official

is

looking.

the

situation

in

america

fits

into

the

first

category.

that

doesnt

mean

all

americans

keep the law. but american culture teaches people to respect the law --even to the

smallest detail.

one reason is about

americas

s heritage[

文化遗产

] has shaped how

people

view

the

law.

for

one

thing,

the

bible

reveals

gods

unchanging

laws

which

people

must

obey. it also teaches people to

respect human authority

as established by god.

for

example,driving

habits

illustrate

american

respect

for

the

law.

a

driver

will

usually

stop

for

a

red

light,

even

when

there

are

no

other

cars

around.

people

treat

the

lines

marking

streets

and

roads

as

definite[

]

boundaries,

not

just

decorations.

vehicles[

]

yield[

]

to

those

with

the

right

of

way-particularly pedestrians[

行人

]. actually, though,

drivers

dont

always

keep

traffic

rules.

for

example,

many

drivers

ignore

freeway

speed limits. but americans generally drive with careful attention to the rules.

of

course,

not

everyone

in

america

abides

by

the

law.

crime

is

a

growing

problem.

however, skilled lawyers sometimes use minor issues to get their clients[

委托

] set free. and prison inmates may live even better than many poor citizens.

anyway,no

one

believes

a

perfect

legal

system

is

possible.

yet

every

society

has

laws.

whether

people

follow

the

letter

of

the

law

or

just

the

spirit

of

the

law,

they

recognize

the

need

for

laws

to

keep

order

in

society.

without

them,

the

society

would

be

chaotic[

混乱

].

if

every

man

were

a

law

unto[

向,对

]

himself,

no

man

would

be

free.

篇三:英文法律演讲稿

一、

since last few weeks, i have been constantly checking my weibo and paying

much

attention

to

the

case

of

zhuling.

she

was

poisoned

by

thallium,

and

that

brought

her

permanent

paralysis.

chinese

people

want

the

poisoner

punished

and

justice

done.

yet until this moment, the criminal is still at large. to fight for zhuling

s

interests

and

everyone

s

interests

as

well,

over

130,000

users

have

signed

a

petition

at the website of white house, demanding the us investigate a suspicious woman. it

may

be

unreasonable; but

this

is

actually

an

outlet

for

the

publics

long-term

dissatisfaction at the absence of justice.

二、

while

some

guilty

people

are

free,

some

innocent

people

are

prisoned

for

years.

in last few months, the press highlighted the events that several men spent a long

time of their life in prison as a result of miscarriages of justice. what is worse

is

we

don

t

know

exactly

how

many

people

are

still

suffering

from

it

at

the

moment,

and how many people would.

we

doubt

if

justice

is

still

alive

in

china,

we

wonder

if

the

law

still

protects

our

people

s

life

and

property,

we

question

if

there

is

still

anyone

who

fights

for

our fundamental rights.

三、

however confused or inexperienced, i, a freshmen

majoring in law, try to figure out these questions.

the

word

justice

is

usually

associated

with

courts

of

law.

people

might

say

that

justice

has

been

done

when

a

man

s

innocence

or

guilt

has

been

proved

beyond

doubt.

however, the reality is: we usually undertake an arduous journey seeking the truth

but we can never be sure that we will find it. and judges, however wise or eminent,

are human and can make mistakes. such disappointing reality must frustrate some

people,

especially

who

know

little

about

law,

who

naively

think

law

can

t

go

wrong.

so,

when

something

does

go

wrong,

their

faithfulness

is

suddenly

shattered

and

they

will never believe in law again.

四、

but i believe that law can make differences.

i admit chinese judicial system is way far from perfect, but i can also see the

remarkable progress of it. the transformation is undertaken and more rights are

entitled

to

people.

an

increasingly

transparent,

just

and

efficient

image

of

judicature is clearer. a proper legal framework

is starting to replace the habit

of

personal

relationships

as

the

principle

weapon

and

defense

the

people

s

interests.

all these above show that we are stepping forward.

i believe in law, and i believe it is better to fight for justice than to rail

at the ill.

but truth be told, i am not really proud of it. during the economic takeoff, we

face great challenges, such as food safety, environment protection and disparity

between

rich

and

poor.

our

beautiful

country

and

our

children

s

futures

are

too

high

a price to pay for economic growth.

a

healthier

and

sustainable

economic

development

is

based

on

good

order.

and

since

law is order, we should exert the influence of law on economic fields to boost the

economy and

protect people

s interests at the same time.

二、

a

series

of

reports

on

poisonous

food,

especially

the

melamine

scandal,

has

aroused much panic among us. in china today, laws are generally found to be nets of

such a texture, as the little creep through, the great break through, and the

middle-sized are alone entangled in. such laws can hardly prevent our people, our

children from harms. laws concerned food safety should be strengthened. and people

who produce poisonous food should be punished heavily. law should act as a night

watchman to protect our health.

三、

china

today,

you

can

see

gdp

increasing,

carbon

emission

increasing,

and

with

that

the

increase

of

damage

to

the

environment.

we

must

admit

that

our

effort

to

save

our beautiful country is not enough. our environmental laws are far from perfect,

and still, such laws are never enforced strictly. if legal regulation works, we do

not have to sacrifice environmental interests for economic growth.

四、

do

anyone

use

< p>
shanzhai

phone

here?

china

is

famous

for

its

shanzhai

products.

sure, copy is much easier and way more

convenient

than

invention.

and

thanks

to

loopholes

of

intellectual

property

law,

shanzhai industry is rapidly developing. at the same time, innovation is stifled.

new

ideas

and

new

products

lose

market.

and

changing

made

in

china

to

created

in china

will merely be a dream. chinese legal people should spare no effort to

close loopholes in the regulations of intellectual property

and

let law cease to be

a mere abstract concept, but truly encourage innovation.

law always plays an important role in a country

s economic development. in a

market

economy,

people

seek

for

their

own

interests.

and

sometimes,

they

could

damage

others to make profits. on these occasions, law is a fence preventing individual

interests from harming public ones.
