we
have
known
of
some
public
traditional
holidays
in
Russia.
What
impressed
me
most
was
that
Russia
is
the
amazing
holiday destination. The Russian festivals reveal
the rich culture
tradition and
fascinating customs of its people.
While the festivals stem
from
the
Christian
legacy
in
Russia
are
shared
with
the
European
and
American.
Besides,
the
manner
of
celebration
is
really
unique.
Now,
allow me to introduce
some important Russian festivals to you in brief.
Noviy God or New Year
Noviy God (we also call it New Year) in
January1th is the most popular
Russian
festival.
In
the
Noviy
God
every
family
are
revolved
around
a
new year
’
s tree
(called conifer tree) which is decorated with
sweets and
special glass decorations
and has a bright star on top. She had shared a
song accompanying with a lively tone
with us dedicated with this New
Year
tree which is usually sung by Father Frost. Being
comparable with
the Christmas Day in
Europe, there is a Father Frost who is the Russian
Santa Claus in the prospect with
special costumes. They come to hug kids
with the greeting and give the gifts.
Of
course, on New Year is complete without a family
get together and
delicious meals and
fireworks.
Another tradition is to
listen to the New
Year speech by the
president of Russia on New
Year

s Day. Usually the
