origin and the major attractions of the three towns of

Wuhan.

town

has

its

own

special

origin

of name and the individual constitutes the charm of

Wuhan.

.What do you think of the three towns of Wuhan

when you first came here

. I

m a native and when I was a child, I was

confused

about

many

things

of

the

three

towns---

Hanyang,

Hankou,

and

Wuchang.

For

me,

they

are

similar

but different.

.In

fact,

the

history

of

Wuhan

when

it

was

really

constituted by the three towns is only 81 years.

would

like

to

show

you

this

three

major

towns of Wuhan.

A. As we all know, Wuchang lies in the sourth of

the Yangtze river, and the other two are in the north.

. The origin of the three towns

A. Origin of Wuchang

1. The name was raised by Sunquan when he wanted

to fight with Liubei for Jingzhou.

some

degree,

the

name

of

these

area---Wuchang

was exchanged with today

B. Origin of Hanyang

1. The origin of Hanyang was related to han river.

2. It was in the north of han river and the sourth

of

Guishan

in

ancient

times,

so

it

got

the

name

Hanyang.

C. Origin of Hankou

1. Hankou and Hanyang were together until the Han

river changed its way.

2. It has been only 500 years since Hankou was

separated from Hanyang.

Thanks

to

these

two

rivers,

Hankou

got

some

ports

for

its

business

development,

so

it

was

much

famous

than

Hanyang and Wuchang. And many people call it the old

hankou although it was the newest one.

.The attractions of the three towns.

A. Hankou---the town for business

I have mentioned just now, Hankou have developed

its own business very well since the ancient time, so

Hankou is business central in some degree.

street;

If

you want to have a lot of tasty food, jiqing street is

a good choice. And if you want to have fun to relax

yourself, jianghan road is waiting for you. There you

can have various delicious food, go shopping, ktv or

games and so on. In a word, there will always a choice

for you.

B. Wuchang---the town for Education

The next is here---wuchang. Most of you will find

there

are

so

many

university

around

us.

That

is

wuchang,

a town for education. And also it has many great palce

for visit or entertainment like the east lake.

C. Hanyang---the town for development

1. Maybe for many people, Hanyang is a place you

t know.

In

fact,

Hanyang

is

treated

as

a

place

for

development. I have lived here for 20 years, and the

dishs here are fabulous. If I were you, first, I will

chose

the

fresh

fish

in

a

restaurant

close

to

the

Yangtze river, after the meal, we can walk along the

river beach, and you will find it is totally different

with

others.

Also,

you

can

visit

the

Qingchuan

pavilion

and Guiyuan Buddisht Tempe. I just love there.

.Now you can see, these are the three towns of

Wuhan. Although with the quick development in Wuhan,

will

change

a

town

a

lot,

but

if

you

have

experienced

it

with

heart,

you

will

find

each

town

in

Wuhan

has

Dynasty

(960-1279),

area

commercial

centers

along

the

Yangtze

River.

By

the

end

of

the

Ming

Dynasty

(1368-1644),

Hankou

had

become

one

of the four most famous cities in China. Today, Wuhan

is

the

political,

economic,

and

cultural

center

of
