what’s the relationship between

guess what? i’m preparing for the program you are the one!

a--you know i mean it. i am serious.

why? that’s ridiculous! could you want to rise to fame


overnight?today there are fame and fortune can bring them the


felling of achievement and all the attention, convenience, etc.


but i never thought you are one of them.



a--no, no. i am not denying that there are some people who


want to be famous overnight



but i just hope to find my mr.


right there, not for fame. by the way, what’s your view on the


relationship between fame and fortu


ne? without fame does’t


mean he’s a rly, one who have’t fortune does’t


mean he’s nobody.



a-- can you give some examples?



b--of course. for instance, the founder of scientific socialism,


the was alive, he and his family had to move often on account


of limites money and some politics reasons. his several


children died in circumstances of impoverishment. a--famous


people are not always wealthy, and money can’t bring fame.


only when he makes full use of money and makes


contributions to the society can he makes his life meaningful.


at the same time, fame doesn’t often take fortune. the


relationship between them is hard to say. let me introduce a


great person, if you don’t mind. although he is one of chinas


most famous scientists, yuan longping considers himself a


farmer, for he works the land to do his research. indeed, his


sunburnt face and arms and his slim, strong body are just like


those of millions of chinese farmers, b--yeah, he is a great


person who doesn’t care much about fame and fortune.

know something about him from tv and would


much rather keep time for his enjoys listening to


violin music, playing mah-jong, swimming and reading.


spending money on himself or leading a comfortable life also


means very little to him. indeed, he believes that a person with


too much money has more rather than fewer


therefore gives millions of yuan to equip others for their


research in agriculture.



a--he set a example for us. we should have a right attitude


towards fame and fortune.



b--yeah. actually, as long as you lead a happy life, and feel


self-worth, fame and fortune are nothing really.
