We

may

wish

to

stop

time

and

go

back

to

our

childhood

when

life

and

your

world were a blessing. We were pure, passionate and full of creativity, imagination,

curiosity. However, in this era, when materialism is flourishing and mankind

s desire

for expansion has increased, we are supposed to ask ourselves whether or not we are

losing ourselves?

then

can

s nature at birth is good. On no account can we lose ourselves!

In this competitive world, the weak are the prey to the strong; the big fish eat up

the small ones. We are forced to wear different kinds of masks to pretend to be active,

interested and happy. Actually, we ourselves are confused with these questions which

ones are true us and what we are pursuing.

In this benighted era, our conscience has been stolen away by material things. It

goes

without

saying

that

we

are

living

in

a

flourish

society

of

materialism

while

struggling in a poor world of morality.

We

all

remember

that

a

tragedy

happened

in

Foshan,

Guangdong

Province,

a

two- year-old

girl, Xiao

Yueyue was run over by two buses for three times

and two

drivers left directly. What

s worse, while the girl was lying in the street bleeding and

crying in pain, 18 people passed by but nobody stopped to do anything to save the girl.

At the new, I think both the drivers and those passers are blame for their selfishness

and

indifference.

believe

those

cold-blooded

behaviors

are

reflections

of

social

moral anomic and losing ourselves.

what we can image. If we lose ourselves, we lose everything.

desire

may

tempt

weak-willed

is the rich, ultimate source of mankind make progress. We always have blind faith in

so-called authority. A wise man makes his own decisions; an ignorant man follows the

public opinion. Be used to worshiping authority instead of querying it with our own

thoughts and courage, we will be bound up and fettered by existing achievement and

satisfactions.

The reasons for losing are many and varied.

On the one hand, external circumstances may bring negative effects to us. We are

influenced by outside world so easily that living a life of principle is not always easy.

advanced

a

society

is

the

less

solicitude

we

show

for

each

other!

People

fight

with

each

other

for

status,

money

and

power

by

all

means

without a bit sense of shame. It is true that some of us try to acquire non-valid wealth

instead of honest labor. Cult of gold-worship and utilitarianism are prevailing in some

areas of our society.

On the other hand, we are not supposed to think over the reasons unilaterally.

social

environment,

individuals

account. We have difficulty in resisting external trends. The great pastoral poet Tao
