The FBI hosted its first- ever foreign language job fair in Houston Friday, local

media reported.

The languages most needed by the FBI are Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, Hebrew, Korean, Somali

and

Spanish.

Qualified

candidates

must

have

strong

oral

and

written

English

skills

as

well

as

proficiency in a foreign language. They also must be a US citizen and have lived in the US for 3

of

the

past

5

years.

FBI

linguists

work

a

variety

of

interpretation

and

translation

assignments.

They also offer cultural awareness to FBI employees.
