“We sit and look at a screen

home. We don’t play a game from beginning to end. Our job is to find problems with the game

Game testers can’t choose their games. “Sometimes I have to test a game for young children,”

week

we
just
test
the

) all work. That’s the most boring part
of the job.”

Steve says game testers don’t get a lot of money, and they work for long hours. “Sometimes
we work late into the night. I drink a lot of coffee to s

So the job can be boring. The hours are long and the pay is low. Many people only stay in the
job for a few months. But for the game companies, that’s not a problem. There are always lots of
young people who want to he game testers. They think it will be all fun and games!
