My favorite place/My hometown/Shantou

I would like to give a brief introduction to Shantou, which is one of

my favorite places

always lingering in my memory. It’s a modern and

beautiful city locates in the southeast of Guangdong Province. The

city covers an area of over 2000 square kilometers with a population

of nearly 5 million 600 thousand.

Shantou,with the history of 1000 years,is known as Economic Special

Area, Regional central city and Major port city. In fact, 36 years ago

it was a little fishing village. After Reform and Opening-up, under the

leadership of the Party and governme, it has become one of the most

beautiful modern cities.

Shantou is rich in traveling resources. You can not only pay a visit

to some fascinating buildings of modern construction but also

appreciate a good many breathtaking scenery such as Que Shi or Nan

Ao. Besides, there are so many things to do in this city. For example,

you can beer and skittles in the most artistic commercial centerof

Shantou. At night, you can also go to the most popular cultural

creative park with friends where many young people play music

together.

But to me, very interestingly, the reason that I enjoy this city is
