Closing speech

Ladies and gentlemen

The second International Conference on

drawing to a close. I would like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere gratitude

and appreciation to all of you, for your invaluable contributions in making this event a

great success.

We hope the past three days have been fruitful and that you will be able to make

the most from the sessions you attended. Through a wide range of keynote speeches,

tutorials(

), and discussions, we have been presented with new ways to deal

with

some

of

the

challenges

in

Application

of

smart

concrete.

We

hope

that

you

shared your experiences and expertise with other participants from near and far, and

that

a

cordial

relationship

established

among

us

during

the

Conference

will

further

strengthen.

Through this Conference we have seen that the Application of smart concrete is

vital for security and life time of the buildings. The Application of smart concrete is

the

key

of

convenience,

the

essential

symbol

and

requirement

of

new

century

buildings.

As

we

return

from

this

Conference

to

our

everyday

activities,

let

remember that we are part of the solution lie on smart concreteapplication. I am sure,

the

lessons

learnt

during

Conference

will

equip

us

to

respond

to

the

complexity

of

technical,

technological

and

theoretical

challenges

in

the

way

of

making

our

organizations compatible to requirements of wild applications of smart concrete in the

new epoch.

you - the participants and presenters who have taken time out of your busy schedules

to share your experience with us these days. Many of you have traveled long distances

to be with us and we appreciate your willingness to openly share your knowledge and

experiences. For some of us, this has been an opportunity to meet with our old friends,

for others, an opportunity to make new friends who are working on similar area. We

have had a chance to listen to some of the sessions over the past three days and was

very pleased with the quality of the discussions that took place.
