一.课程的性质

目的与任务
英语教学是高等教育中高职高专教育的一个有机组成部分,
< br>根据教育部高等
教育司颁布的
《高职高专教育英语课程教
学基本要求》
我国目前高等职业教育的
教学目的是:培养高级应
用性人才,英语教学应贯彻“实用为主,够用为度”的
方针,
既
要培养学生具备必要的英语语言基础,
也能强调培养学生运用英语进行
< br>涉外工作的能力。
英语教学以培养学生运用语言的能力为目标,
< br>突出教学内容的
实用性和针对性。
《英语读写》
课程是对外合作办学模式下的一门必修的专业基础课程。
该英
语课程的教学是以英语语言知识与应用技能、
学
习策略与跨文化交际为一体,
以
外语教学理论为指导,集多种教
学模式和教学手段为一体的教学体系。
该英语课程的教学目标
一方面是培养学生的阅读技能及良好的阅读习惯,
提
高阅读速度
与理解能力,
拓宽知识面,
扩充词汇量和加大词汇的接触频度,
增强
英语语感,
掌握篇章概括方法,<

最终达到自如地阅读日常生活中常见的英语篇章
以及专业所需的科
技文章阅读
并且熟练运用英语;另一方面是通过本门课程的<

系统学习,使学生了解英语写作理论知识(即写作格式、遣词造句、修辞法、工
具书的使用、句型等)
,合格文章的标准(即切题、连贯、简洁和长短句结

读写两种技能互相为辅,
相辅相成,

二.
《英语读写》和其他课程的关系
本课程是一门语言技能与专业知识相结合的课程,本课程以阅
读理论、写
作理论和其他相关学科理论作指导,
通过讲授阅读和
写作方面的基本技巧以及
各种交际环境中语言的正确表达方式、全方位地对学生进行阅读
技巧、逻辑推
理能力训练以及写作能力训练,并结合课外阅读实践,拓宽学生知识面,培
养
学生跨文化交际能力、阅读相关技巧的综合运用能力、认知、推理能力、独立
工作能力、解决问题的能力以及相应的心理素质。与该课程同时开设的有《英
语口语》和《英语听说》
。这些课程各有侧重,相辅相成,都以培养和提高学
生的英语语言能力为最终目的。在教学辅导过程中,要注意本课程与其他相关
< br>课程的衔接、配合与分工。自学或教学过程中应正确处理不同类型的语言技能
课之
间的关系。他们既相互独立、又有交叉与重复,彼此相辅相成。
《英语口
语》突出的是培养学生收集材料、选择材料并进行口头陈述的能力,有较强的
专
业色彩;
《英语听说》突出的是培养学生的听说能力,侧重在日常生活中的
口头交际能力,这三门课程所强调的侧重点有所不同,但都强调某一技能或知
识的深入,能从不同的角度促进学生运用英语的综合能力的提高。但是这三门
课相互融合
,相互支持,所以教学过程中既相互独立又互为补充。

是专业课学习的语言基

《英语读写》为学生提供具有丰富内涵和现实意义的语言
