My Teaching Philosophy
Teaching
means
activities
that
impart
knowledge
or
skill.
When
we
talk
about
teaching , we often think of methods,
teacher, students and so on. Methods have often
been regarded as the most important
factor in determining the success of a language
program. However, if there is the best
teaching method in the world, is every student
can learn very well? Maybe it is not.
Similarly , imagining there is the best teacher in
the world, does she or he can teach all
students well? Here are some ideas and beliefs
summarizing my teaching philosophy.
Firstly,
I
believe
that
the
students
is
the
center
of
teaching.
In
other
words,
I
promote
student-centered
theory.
It
advocates
the
significant
learning
and
self-evaluation, and
encourages the students to educate themselves.
When the teacher
prepare
one
class,
they
need
to
consider
students’
needs,
the
level
of
students,
the
characteristic
of
students,
and
so
on.
After
determining
students’
needs,
the
teacher
can plan a course
extremely well and have an effective class.
The student-centered theory
is an important principle in my daily teaching
work.
It is also a precious experience
from my three -year-teaching. I still remembered
my
first English class as a teacher in
my life. As a new teacher in middle school, I had
to
teach
two
classes
which
were
divided
into
two
levels.
One
is
A,
which
means
the
students’ goals in class A are above
60, the other is B, below 60. However, I used the
same teaching planning in two different
classes, caused two different results. In class
A, I could finish my activities
according to my teaching planning. While , in
class B, I
