Ecological

The
museum covers a
floorage of 5745 square
meters.
With 2140 square
meters
display
area,
the
museum
has
two
floors.
According
to
the
historical
vicissitudes
of
Chanba,
the
exhibition
is
divided
into
five
sections,
which
are
preface
hall,
overall
blueprint
section,
Chanba
recollections
section,
Chanba
glories
section
and
key
projects section.
Ladies and

is preface
hall. The total
area of this section
is 160
square
meters. Please allow
me to draw all
your
attention
to this screen.
Behind this
screen,
there
is
a
relievo
demonstrating
the
geographical
features
and
topographical
features of
ancient Chanba.
Xi
’
an
Chanba
Ecological
District
was
founded
in
September,
2004.
The
south
part of
the District borders Qinling
Mountain
Range, and the
north part
borders Wei
River.
The
total planning area
is 129
square kilometers. 89 square kilometers
area
is
under
concentrated
renovation.
Half
of
the
green
space
system
is
compose
of
forest
land
and
wet
land.
Chanba
Ecological
District
is
not
only
an
ecological
functional
area
of
Xi
’
an,
but
also
the
1
st
development
zone
with
“
ecology
”
in
its
name
throughout China.
During
the
past
six
years,
we
started
the
renovation
with
river
administration,
followed by several major projects such
as channel improvement, sand prevention and
forestation,
landscape
engineering, sewage
treatment and wet
land recovery
.
We
have
turned Chanba
from a district suffered severe
ecological disaster
into one of the
most
pleasant living area.

Well, please
look at this
screen. It's a picture
named
“BA
LIU FEI XUE”which
is a famous scene in this district.
When you walk in the front of the screen, the
willow
twig will flutter along with
your step and bring us a people-picture
interactive scene.
Well,
this way please. Now what comes
into
view
is a
geographical and digital
sand
table of Chan Ba
ecological district and
it will show
the Chan Ba's overall plan.
Chan
Ba
was divided
into six parts,
from
north
to south, they are:
wetland
zone,
the
head
quarters
of
economy
zone,
the
financial
and
commercial
zone,
the
commercial
and
trade
zone
and
Yanming
Lake
zone.
Now
we
can
see
that
there
are
two
blue
ribbons
in
the sand
table, and
they are
Chan River and
Ba
River.

hand,
these
three
chart
boards
record
great
events of Chan Ba.
The
first one
is
that Chan Ba
was chosen as
the
permanent
venue
of
the
Eurasian economic
forum
in 2007; the
second
is
that
Xi’an won
the bid of
the
World
Horticulture
Exposition
in
2007
and
the
last
one
is
that
Chan
Ba
became
a
national
ecological
zone and also
is
the
first
national
ecological
zone
in
the Midwest
of China.

emerged

the
cultural
aroma of Chanba
throughout history

This
faint-yellow
wall
is
made
of
stones
pervious
to
light.
It
displays
Y
angshao
culture
of
China’s
Neolithic
Age.
Banpo
site,
dating
back
6000
years,
is the
most typical
site of
Y
angshao culture
which
belonged to
matriarchal clan
commnunity
in the
Y
ellow
River
valley
.
These
are
the pictures of
artifacts
unearthed
from
Banpo
site,
and
this
one
is
the
most
famous
pot
with
the
human-faced
fish
design.
Come this

,please. These “Eight Scenic
Attractions of Shaanxi Central Plain”
are not ordinary Chinese splashed-ink
landscape, but are the world-renowned
Suzhou
embroidery
. It took 8
skilled embroidery girls 3 months to finish them.
This wall mainly shows the beautiful
scenery of Qinling Mountain Range. Home
to
Chan
River
and
Ba
River,
Qinling
Mountain
Range
is
the
geographical
d
ividing
line of
South China and North China. It is famous for its
varigated organisms and also
is one of
the key areas that under biodiversity preservation
in the world. Just speaking
of birds,
there are altogether 435 kinds of them, accounting
for 32.7% o
f
the
national
total.
This wall
shows the scene of people
in
Tang
Dynasty performing
special rites to
celebrate
the
coming
of
the
spring.
In
Tang
Dynasty
,
due
to
its
beautiful
natural
scenery and closeness to the capital
city
, Chanba was chosen by the nobility
and court
officials as the place to
build
villas, thus also the place to
perform ceremonies and
go
for spring outing

broadcasting
in
this
screen
now
is
the
contrast
pictures of the old
and new appearance of
ChanBa
，
showing
the tremendous change
of ChanBa. In the
past

ChanBa
was a place where rivers were
polluted
，
garbages
were
heaping
，
and
sandpits
could
be
found
everywhere.
However
，
nowadays
it
becomes a place where the
scenery is as beautiful as a painting.
Today
，
we
designed this period of ChanBa’s history into
the Box of Memory
and
sealed deeply
，
it
reminds us to remember the history and treasure
the nature.
