1.
Three
friends
and
I
was
driving
on
a
highway.
While
we
were
going
at
least
50
miles
per hour, we passed over a car. It had broken
down, stopped on the side of the
road.
My friend slows down, and pulled behind the other
car. He got out of the car
immediate
and before I knew it he was helping the other
person push the car down the
road
to
a
spot
where
wasn’t
so
close
to
the
passing
cars.
From
the
way
they
were
pushing
the car, it looked as if my friend was pushing
them all by himself. I thought
my
friend help a complete stranger like this was a
great thing, but I won’t forget his
good nature or character.
2. Dear Brad,
I’m very
glad to
hear from
you.
In
your last
letter
you
ask about
the
post-80s in
China. Actually I am the boy who
belongs to this group. Comparing with our parents,
life for us is getting much hard. The
job market is tough and the house is expensively
to afford. Now many girls prefer to
marry with a man who owns a house and a car.
Therefore,
I
don’t
think
love
built
on
house
and
cars
is
true
love,
and
I
doubt
how
long it will last.
As a
matter of fact, though situations are tough today,
a lot of we post-80s are making
great
efforts live a good life. I believe we will have a
nice future.

3. Good morning, ladies and gentlemen,
Some
of
us
are
having
problems
about
our
parents,
as
they
often
look
into
our
school
bags or read our diaries. I fully understand why
we are comfortable about it,
but it is
no need to feel too sadly. Our parents are
checking in our bags or diaries to
make
sure we’re not getting into troubles. They have
probably heard of some horrible
stories
about other kids and thinking we might do the
same. Or perhaps they just want
to
connect with us and are doing it all wrong. My
suggestion is: Tell them we want
them
to trust us as many as we’d like to trust them. If
you don’t think you can talk to
them,
write them a letter and leave it lie around ---
they are bound to read it.
Thank you!
4. We spend two weeks in
London last year. We went there in the autumn .We
think it
is the best season to visit
England. The weather is usually good but there
aren’t too
many
tourists
in
October.
We
stayed
in
a
small
hotel
in
the
West
End
.It
was
convenient
as
we
did
most
of
our
traveling
by
foot.
We
went
to
look
at
the
places
where
all tourists see. We saw Buckingham Palace and the
National Gallery. We went
to shopping
in Oxford Street and spent too many money .What we
liked most, though,
was going to
theatre. We don’t have the chance to see so
wonderful plays at home .A
lot of
people say English food is very badly. We didn’t
think so. It’s true that most of
the
restaurants are French or Italian or Chinese, but
we had some very good meal.
5. Tom
is
a senior two students who devotes
himself to
his
lessons every
day.
Last
Saturday, as
usual, he went to several courses. In the evening,
he studies at home until
deep into the
night. He was too sleepy and tired that he
could
n’t work effectively. In
Sunday morning, Tom was about to study
when his father came up and advised him to
have break. Soon they had a good idea.
They bought a kite which they liked it very
much and then the family went to the
suburbs where Tom enjoyed fly the kite himself.
The family had
a picnic
together but
felt very
relaxed in
the open air.
On Monday,
Tom
was
energetic
and
actively
in
class.
He
said
it
was
only
why
he
had
a
better
weekend.
6.
People often
have troubles getting used to a new culture. They
are usually curious
when they first
arrive a foreign country. Therefore, if they stay
for a long time, they
may start to feel
different stages of culture shock. They can feel
alone or sad because
he can’t deal with
the local people. How quick people get
used to culture differences
may
be
depend
on
the
way
they
learn.
That’s
a
problem
if
they
can’t
speak
the
language. On other hand, some can study
the situation and make good guesses about
the culture. When they finally began to
understand some of the language and make
some new friends, they will gradually
enjoy themselves and feel satisfying.
7.
I’m the only daughter of my parents. So
they worried about everything I do. For
example, when I ride my bike, my
parents won’t let me to ride by myself. They are
afraid
I
might
fall
off
my
bike
and
hurt
myself.
They
are
taking
great
trouble
to
support a bike, with my mother even
carried a first-
aid box. I’m not free
to ride and I
often
say
angry,
―Why
not
let
me
ride
alone?‖Now,
most
family
have
one
child.
Parents want to do everything for his
children. This does no good on them. Too many
love
from
parents
may
prevent
children
from
independent.
In
my
opinion,
parents
should let their
children do that they should do alone.
8.
Maria
was
afraid
that
she
was
going
to
have
to
deliver
a
bad
news
to
her
friend
Freddy. She was
upsetting about the news herself. In the spring,
Maria’s mother had
said Maria might be
allowed bring a friend along on the family two-
week vacation at
the beach. Since then,
Maria and Freddy had been doing nothing and
planning all the
thing
they
would
do
together.
By
the
time
August
had
arrived,
Maria’s
mother
had
total
forgotten her promise. When Maria reminded her,
she said that she was sorry but
that it
wouldn’t be enough room for Freddy because Maria’s
cousin, Theresa, would
be going to the
shore with them. Now Freddy was in his way to
Maria’s house.

Get a good
education is more important today than ever before
.In Canada mostly
children
attend
public
schools.
Public
schools
are
mainly
found
by
governments
through tax
income. Students in Canada taught in English and
in French. The rests of
Canadian
children attend private schools, that are
supported mainly by fees paying by
parents. By law, children must attend
the school from age 5 to 16. There are several
different
levels
in
the
Canadian
education
system.
The
first
was
called
Elementary
Schools, which includes kindergartens
through grade 7 or 8.
10. My friend Dick was seven years old,
and her sister Katherine was five. One day
their mother take
them to their aunt’s to play while she
went to the city buy some new clothes. They
played
for
a
hour,
and
then
their
aunt
took
Dick
into
the
kitchen.
She
gave
him
a
nicely cake
and a knife and said, ―Dick, cut this cake in
half, and give one of the piec
e
to
your sister. But
remembering
to
do it like
a
gentleman.‖
―How do
gentlemen do
it
?
‖
Dick
asked.
―They
always
give
the
bigger
one
piece
to
the
other
person,‖
answered his aunt.
Dick thought up this for a few seconds. Then he
took the cake to
his sister
but said to her, ―Cut this cake in
half, Katherine. ‖
11. Attention please,
everyone. I have announcement to make. You will
pay a visit to
the museum on October
1st. I think we will be interest in it. In the
course of the visit,
the guide will
give us an account of the past or the development
of the city. She say
something
about
the
advanced
workers,
included
some
teachers.
We
will
see
many
pictures
there.
I’m
sure
of
that
we
can
learn
a
lot.
After
the
visit,
we’ll
have
a
discussion in group and
each of us must write a composition. We are to
start out as
earlier as 7:00 am. We
must gather against time at the school gate.
That’s all. Thanks.

A few days
ago I saw an instructive program on TV
.
It was about what the traffic
problem
in
cities. It
seems
that a
great
deal
of
damages is
done by
traffic
.
All
our
cities are suffering from this. Some
buildings are actual falling to pieces . It's
often
fast to walk than to go by car
and by bus. The problem has been getting worse day
by
day
.
This
is
only
one
of
the
thousands
problems
in
our
cities.
All
sorts
of
terrible
things were happening to our question
is how we can do about
it
.
0ur roads
were
never designing for such heavy
traffic
.
It is time the
government does something
about these
problems
.
