One of the biggest challenges for
students in university is getting used to college
life
during their first year. Students
have a lot more independence in university and a

hard to adjust to. In high
school, even if you lived in a dorm, you were
always told by the
teachers or your
parents what you should being doing. “Get up early
in the morning,”
“make sure you eat
your lunch,” “after classes you have study hall,”
everybody in bed by
22:30.” However at
university, your mom isn’t th

tell you what to do. When I first
came
to college, I missed several morning classes
because I was not used to getting up
on
my own. Also at university there is nobody to tell
you to stop playing computer games.

exceptions, like Steven Jobs, I think that for
most people to be
successful, they must
have a college degree. Today’s society is rapidly
advancing and
education is a big part
of this development. The economic situation has
made it harder to
find jobs. When you
apply for a job, you have to compete with many
other people. Having
a university
degree helps set you apart from the other people.
My brother put off going to
university
for a few years, and he had a really hard time
finding a job. He then went back
to
finish his degree, and is now a successful manager
of a large store. A university
education also helps prepare you for a
more successful career. You will not find a person
with a bachelor’s degree working as a
s
tore clerk, for example.
