Report on the Six-month Course
As an English teacher at this school, I
was asked to design a six-month course using the
newly
provided video player and
television set. This is my report in the
evaluation of that course. The
course
itself was generally a success, as the students
enjoyed it very much. They found the video
very
motivating
for
learning
English,
so
much
progress
was
made.
However,
there
are
some
weaknesses that should be mentioned
from a teaching point of view. First of all, there
is a lack in
the school of adequate
teaching material in video, so it would be
difficult to extend the course.
Secondly, we teachers lack ideas for
exploiting the use of video material effectively.
I therefore
would like to recommend
that we increase the supply of video teaching
English with video. I also
suggest that
a training course be organized for the other
English teachers to learn how to use the
video effectively.
