an important person in my life

when people are asked the question about who is the most
important person in your life, the answer could be different.
indeed, everyone has his or her own important person in their
hearts. i also have mine: he is my father. there are various
reasons why he is the person i speak highly of: he gave me life,
watched me grow up and helped me during my life.

it is said that daughter has the similar appearance to her
father’s. but this phenomenon is not suitable for my father and
me. he is well-
build but i’m s
light. he has a square face and
crew cut that are very serious. when he is angry, his face will
become very black and scary. but when he is smiling, he
narrows his double- edged eyes as a kind uncle. adding to my
envy is his white and event teeth. like most girls, i think my
father is the best. i also consider my father as the most
handsome middle-aged man.

my father taught me how to solve problem in logic. just like
most girls, i dont like studying math. no matter how many
resistances i did against doing mathematics homework, no
matter how unwilling i was when faced with exercise books,
my father would take different measures to force me studying
it. i couldn’t approve of his compulsive behavior, and i even
hated him because i was unable to understand why i should

study mathematics much harder than science students when i
chose to study in art subjects in high schooling. he told me
that doing everything, even speaking and writing would need
logic which i was short of as an art subject student, which i
can ob
tain from mathematic training. he’s right. the benefits
that i got from mathematic training were no more than a high
math score in college entrance examination, but a tool of
words and thoughts.

my father taught me that i should keep calm all the time,
especially when i met with troubles. i and my father are both
borne with tape a, a kind tape that is easy to be angry and
anxious when something bad happens on us and be
vulnerable to get high pressure and heart diseases at our old
times. so my father always exhorts me to stay clear-minded. he
also taught me to go fishing and swimming at my middle
school years. when fishing at afternoon, my father led me to
appreciate the peaceful scenery that the tree, the boat, the lake,
in fact, everything including us was bathed in the golden
sunshine. when learning to swim in a pool in the evening, i got
a sense that the water, as a pair of hands stroked my body
wildly. and my father also guided me to read laozi and
zhuangzi which he considered as helpful books to me. the
calming power and deep peace from those measures can
comfort my impatient or wrathful mood.

my father uses his strictness and softness to help me achieve
my target. my father uses his criticism and edification to make
my life full of happiness. i have born what he did in the past
eighteen years in my mind, thank for what he is doing now,
and will feel grateful to what he will do for me in the future. like
the high mountain and the deep sea, he always gives me
suggestions when i am disappointed. he is my father, the most
important people in my life.
