Why the Renaissance didn
’
t occur in China
Renaissance
had
a
profound
impact
on
the
European
countries,
the
seeds
of
free- spirited sowed during that year are still alive now, on the contrast, China had not
experienced such a stage. What
’
s the real cause?
It
was
due
to
China
was
in
a
unified,
highly
centralized
feudal
dynasty
-
the
Ming Dynasty? Or because the developed commodity economy in Europe promoted
the active areas of arts and culture?
The
so-called
Renaissance
is
to
learn
the
ancient
Greek
and
Roman
culture,
opened
the
screen
of
the
modern
life.
Obviously
this
campaign
made
an
unprecedented liberation of Western thoughts, the Mona Lisa, the Last Supper, David,
Notre Dame and other works of art had become an insurmountable peak. Also the arts

for high quality material enjoyment, which opened the curtain of science.

schools
of
thought
during
the
Spring
and
Autumn
Period,
Confucianism,
Legalism,
famous,
farm,
Taoism,
military
strategists,
Naturalists
all
happened
at
the
same
time.
Unfortunately,
soon
it
entered
the
era
of
unification
of
Confucianism,
free
debate
became
a
solo.
After
that
scholars
from
different dynasties all described themselves as
of ideas was impossible to escape the stereotype of Confucianism. Many people from
Spring and Autumn Period, such as Lao-zi can be called a philosopher; Mo-zi, can be
called a scientist. From the Qin Dynasty to the end of the feudal dynasty, how many
people can be called pure philosopher, the scientist? In the system of Confucianism,
the business was neglected that traders got the low-priced goods and sold them at a
higher price, this did not produce value for society, and therefore merchant stay at a
low
status.
In
the
system
of
Confucianism,
the
science
was
a

craft

technology
not know who were Shen-kuo and Song-ying xing but were aware of faithful wives
and dutiful son. Therefore we can say the spread of Confucianism and its long-term
dominance actually lead to the impossible appearance of the Renaissance in china.
On the other hand, European Renaissance was a relatively lengthy Middle ages
(lasted
about
a
thousand
years),
it
was
comparing
to
simple,
bondage,
theocratic
supremacy
of
religious
and
cultural
which
was
the
dominance
in
terms
of
time.
European culture before Renaissance also had brilliant achievement, but was centered
on religious. The core
of European Renaissance
was shifting the focus of
arts from
religion to human and nature themselves, and in this process, the ancient Greek and
Roman culture became its rich fertile soil and mentor. Renaissance was not a kind of
restoration of some old art, but is essentially based on religious and cultural stagnation
