In
ancient
china,
there
were
many
precious
character
s,
such
as
loyalty,
filial
piety,
kindness,
justice,
politene
ss,
wisdom
and
credit.
Since
Confucianism
predominat
ed
in
China
for
over
2000
years,
these
spirits
and
con
cepts
were
greatly
canonized
as
the
core
thoughts
an
d
mainstay
of
the
whole
society.
Some
of
them
just
s

the
benefit
of
monarchy
and
feudal
class,
theref

they
should
be
abandoned
surely.
But
some
other
s
should
be
inherited.
We
can
reject
and
abandon
the

social
system
and
some
downfallen
concepts,
but
we

shouldn’t
abandon
those
eminent
tradition,
such
as
fili
al
piety,
which
is
always
seemed
to
be
the
most
impo
rtant
and
principal
merit
in
our
value
concepts.

In
ancient
China,
there
are
many
stories
about
filial
piety.
In
Jin
Dynasty
(about
265-420
A.D.),
there
was
a
person
named
Guo
Ju,
his
family
was
formerly
rich,

after
the
death
of
his
father,
he
divided
the
property
of
his
family
into
two
parts
and
gave
all
of
them
to
hi
s
two
younger
brothers,
but
he
supported
his
mother
himself
and
very
filial
to
her.
Later,
his
family
became
poorer
and
poorer,
and
his
wife
gave
birth
to
a
boy.
B
ut
Guo
Ju
worried
that
feeding
his
son
meant
to
influe
nce
the
fending
for
his
mother,
so
he
consulted
with
h
is
wife:
“We
could
have
a
son
again
if
we
lost
our
so
n,
but
if
our
mother
died,
we
will
never
have
our
moth
er
again.
So
it
would
be
better
to
bury
our
son
and
s
ave
some
food
to
support
our
mother.”
His
wife
agree
d.
But
when
they
were
digging
a
delve,
they
suddenly

found
a
jar
of
gold
about
2
feet
underneath
the
grou
nd.
And
there
were
some
words
on
the
jar:
“It
is
give
n
to
Guo
Ju
by
the
God,
no
one
else
can
take
away.”

They
felt
much
surprised
and
pleased,
then
took
the
gold
back
home
to
support
their
mother
and
their
son.

Maybe
it
was
just
a
story,
but
it
tells
us
what
we
sh
ould
do
to
our
parents.
Our
parents
feed
us,
foster
us,

educate
us
and
pay
majority
of
their
time
and
effort
f
or
us.
They
work
hard
just
for
our
clothing
and
dress,

existence
and
development.
They
bear
much
that
we

can’t
imagine
and
taste
just
for
our
happiness
and
co
mfort.
They
sacrifice
almost
all
their
lives,
without
com
plain,
remorse,
or
calling
for
payback.

Our
parents
are
the
greatest
people
in
the
world,
whether
they
are
noble
or
humble,
rich
or
poor,
call
fo

payback
or
not,
we
should
be

to
them
and
