My Favorite Book

I’ll introduce a French novel
《le ravissement de Lol V. Stein》
to you, which is said
to be the most obscure but also one of the most charming works by
Maguerite Duras.
Anyone who has just finished
reading the book will be
impressed by Ms Lol V. Stein(In
fact I think she had never been
married to anyone, especially on
spiritual levels), this madwoman
with lovely bright eyes.

Lol lost her fiance on a ball. Incredibly she was beaten by a mysterious
middle-aged woman before she could possibily realize that.
Lol was deserted--- without any hesitation. No one can talk about that
night, about how Mike stared into that woman’s eyes as if he was dying.
Lol was also watching then, but rather affectionately, as if they were her
own children.
She felt old. Then she left in a terrible dizziness. The sunshine fired into
the room---as she opened the door, the whole world went blind.
