As we all know, talking and listening are commonly used in communication, but how can yo
u talk without listening to others? Good conversation skills include much more than simply t
alking to others, listening is also a necessary quality of a successful person.
I firmly believe that listening is of greater significance than talking. For one thing, If you can
not listen correctly, you can not talk properly. Just imagine a world where everyone keep tal
king but nobody listening, it's useless to say anything then. For another, if you want to make
achievement in social settings, relationships and business, one way to ensure your success
is to be a great listener.
Therefore, in order to enhance our conversation skills, here are a few simple rules we can foll
ow to help us become a better listener, such as stopping talking endlessly, giving your full att
ention to the speaker and making an effort to shift the focus of the conversation to the other p
erson. All in all, nothing can take place of listening!
The Importance of Being Participants in Life
Nowadays it is common to encounter a scene when people want to see things happen but can'
t make things happen for various kinds of reasons. Sometimes, they just refuse to be the chan
ge in the world.
As far as I am concerned, we should all have the notion of being the participant in our life. F
or instance, one can't have a healthy body by merely watching others take regular exercises.
He must strengthen his body through his own efforts. Another case is that when people inten
d to acquire new skills, such as public speaking skill, they need to catch every opportunity to
speak in the public so that they can achieve success. Furthermore, there are changes we want
to see in the world, like protecting the environment effectively, and the only way to make a d
ifference is that each of us should be a contributing participant.
In conclusion, let's go out there to make things happen, just as the saying goes:
