innocence什么意思due to和owing to

due to 只能做表语, 不能用于句首,是正
式用语;
owing to 也可以作表语,但可以和
because of一样, 用于句首作状语.
The delay was due to /owing to power
failure.
Owing to the weather, the outing was
delayed.
due to“由于，因…造成”，引导的短语在
句中除可作状语 （此时不用于句首）外，
也可作表语或定语。有些讲英语的人仅
将 due to 用于动词be之后作表语，但
目前普遍认为可将due to看作是owing
to的同义词。
Eg. Your failure is due to negligence.你
的失败是由于疏忽所造成的。
A part of the energy is wasted in
machines due to friction.
一部分能量由于摩擦而消耗在机器内。
That Shelley became a poet may have
been due to his mother’s influence.雪莱
成为诗人可能是由于受母亲的影响。
