I，when, while 和 as “当......时候”
一、when 的用法
1， when + 时间段段
Eg. When he was a child he was always trying out new ideas.

2, 常考句型： waswere doing + when +did (突然)
Eg. I was just reading a book when she came into my room

二，while的用法
1， While + 时间段
Eg. While I was in America, I learnt a lot of English.
2， 常考句型：while+ be doing
Eg. While they were talking, the bell rang.
3， 意为“然而”，强调前后句子对称，意思对比
Eg. Tom is a singer while Tim is a dancer.

三，As的用法
1，从句表示的也是一件事情正在发生，另一件事也正在进行当中，从句一般可以翻译
成“边……边… …”。
Eg The students took notes as they listened. 学生们边听课边做笔记。
2，as “随着……”
eg, As the time went on，the weather got worse.

II. before和after 两个动作是先后关系

一， before “在......之前” after“在......之后”
二， beforeafter + doing
After finishing the math, I have an English class.
三，It was + 时间段 +before 从句
Eg，It was a long time before I went to sleep again.过了很长时间我才睡着。

III, until和till “直到......”
一，肯定形式表示的意思是“做某事直至某时”，动词必须是延续性的。 二，否定形式表达的意思是“直至某时才做某事”。动词为延续性或非延续性都可
以。”not.. ....until”
Eg. 肯定句：I slept until midnight. 我一直睡到半夜时醒了。
否定句：She didn't arrive until 6 o'clock. 她直到6点才到。
三，Not until…在句首，主句用倒装。
eg, Not until the early years of the 19th century did man know what heat is.
直到19 世纪初，人类才知道热为何物。

IV, as soon as “一......就......” 强调动作紧密相连
Eg，As soon as I reach Canada, I will ring you up.

V，since “自从......”
一，常考句型: havehas done +since +did从句过去的时间点时间段+ago
I have been in Beijing since you left200810 years ago.
二，It is ＋时间＋since从句的句型中，主句多用一般现在时。
Where have you been since I last saw you? 自上次我和你见面以后，你到哪里去了？

注意：
在时间状语从句中，要注意时态一致。一般情况下主句是将来时的时候，从句要用一
