My university life一般现在时
Time spent at a university is a most worthwhile period in a young
people’s life. This is a time when a student begins to form his or her
ideas about life in general. Attending classes and studying in the
library keep a student busy and provide him or her with access to
valuable information, adding to his or her knowledge base.
Campus life can also be rich and colorful. Most universities offer
a variety of extracurricular activities such as sports events, contests
and other social gatherings, enabling the students to experience relief
from study and homework. Students often form lifelong friendships
through the varied experiences of university life.
During the time, a student spends at university, he not only
develops his intellectual abilities, and he also develops social skills as
well as knowledge and wisdom necessary for choosing a future career.
By learning how to balance intense study and recreation, a student
will be well prepared for the challenges of future responsibilities.
A Happy Day现在进行时
The summer holiday is coming! It is a fine day. Now it’s 4:00pm.
There are some clouds in the sky, some birds are singing but the sun
is shining. Mr. Jones is stay with his family. There are six people in

his family. Include him, his wife, his son Tim, his daughter Sally, and
his parents Sum and Marry. They are walking over the bridge. There
are some boats on the river. Mr. Jones and his wife are looking at
them. Sally is looking at a big ship. The ship is going under the
bridge. Tim is looking at an airplane. The airplane is flying over the
river. Grandma is looking at the playground. There are some boys
over there. They are playing football. A little boy is kicking the
football. A tall boy is running after him. Some young men are playing
table tennis. Some men are playing chess under the big tree. A lot of
women are dancing over there. My grandpa is talking a walk with his
friends. I am rowing on the river with my parents. Of course there
are lots of people climbing the hill. We really have a happy day.
On Strike现在完成时
Busmen have decided to go on strike next week. The strike is
due to begin on Tuesday. No one knows how long it will last. The
busmen have stated that the strike will continue until general
agreement is reached about pay and working conditions. Most
people believe that the strike will last for at least a week. Many
owners of private cars are going to offer “free ride” to people on
their way to work. This will relieve pressure on the trains to
some extent. Meanwhile, a number of university students have
volunteered to drive buses while the strike lasts. All the students

are expert drivers, but before they drive any of the buses, they
will have to pass a special test. The student is going to take the
test in two day’s time. Even so, people are going to find it
difficult to get to work.

An Unforgettable Day一般过去时
I really had a happy day in my eighteen years birthday. It’s
an unforgettable day in my life. At that day, I got up very
early .The weather was fine .After breakfast, my parents and I
went on a trip to Disney park. I was so excited that I can go to
my dream land .It took us about three hours to get there.
As soon as we got there, we were divided into several groups,
with a professional guide to show us around. There are four
major theme parks in Disney park .First, we were showed the
Fantasy Land, which impressed me most. It’s the most
wonderful park that I have ever seen .There is many
entertainment facilities, I like this theme park very much.
Then we visited other places such as Adventure Land,
Tomorrow World .We had a good time in these theme parks. In
the end, we walked along the Main Street USA and enjoyed the
beautiful view.
Although tired, I spend the most exciting day in my life .I

A Happy Day过去进行时
Last Sunday was a happy day for my best friend Mickey and
I .That day was her birthday; I was inviting to go to her home to
celebrate her birthday. When I arrived, icky was listening to the
music and her mother was cooking in the kitchen. Mickey's father
was reading in the study room. Her little brother was watching TV
and her sister was writing something .They welcomed me friendly
and then when Mickey’s mother was preparing for the supper,
Mickey and I went to her room to see her birthday presents. She
packaged up the presents she had got for her birthday and put them
in the cupboard. There are many beautiful presents; I felt pleasure to
share Mickey’s happiness. After had a delicious dinner, we went to
KTV to celebrate her birthday, we sang and danced. Mickey held the
best party and she was the life of the party. I was so glad I can come
out with them to celebrate Mickey’s birthday.
I was really having fun at that day. I hope our friendship will be
forever.
Meeting an old friend过去完成时I
My name is Lisa, now I am 26 years old. Looking back to the past,
by the time when I was 18, I had begun to make a living by myself .It
was a great period in my life and it was the first time that I had been

to England to study .During that period, I became more independent
and competitive. With all the experiences that I gained in that period,
I am successful in a business of my own now. Yesterday I participated
in the university schoolmates party and I saw Mickey, she is one of
my best friend .We had not seen each other since we graduated. Once
we had our conversation, she told me that she had live in network for
2 years; then she married, her children were now at school’s was
surprised for that .But I also felt happy that she had a happy
life .After the party over, she invited me to go to her house .I hope I
have a chance to go there and maybe it will be a good chance to relax

Jeremy Hampden has a large circle of friends and is very
popular at parties. Everybody admires him for his great sense of
humor —— everybody, that is, expect his six-year-old daughter,
Jenny. Recently, one of Jeremy’s closest friends asked him to make a
speech at a wedding reception. This is the sort of thing that Jeremy
loves. He prepared the speech carefully and went to the wedding with
Jenny. He had included a large number of funny stories in the speech
and, it was a great success. As soon as he had finished, Jenny told him
she wanted to go home. Jeremy was a little disappointed by this but

he did as his daughter asked. On the way home, he asked Jenny if she
had enjoyed the speech. To his surprise, she said she hadn’t. Jeremy
asked her why and she told him that she did not like to see so many
people laughing at him!
Happiness with You过去将来时
Last Sunday, I got an E-mail from my best friend Kimono. She is
in New York. She has been there for there years. Kimono is an
engineer. She is working for a big firm now. I was so surprised to
receive her E-mail. We had not seen each other since she went to New
York and it’s nearly six months we did not contact each other. In her
E-mail, she said she would come back to China and visit me the next
month. If she comes, she will get a surprise. I am now getting my
ideal job as a singer. Everything is all right. In my E-mail, I told her
that she could stay with me. I was now living in a beautiful new house
in the country. The house had many large rooms and there was a
lovely garden. It is a very modern house, so it looks strange to some
people. I like it very much; I would like to share all my happiness
with her.
Little Red Riding Hood情态动词


Once upon a time there was a dear little girl who was
loved by everyone who looked at her, but most of all by her

grandmother, and there was nothing that she would not have
given to the child. Once she gave her a little riding hood of
red velvet, which suited her so well that she would never
wear anything else; so she was always called 'Little Red
Riding Hood.' So she can do many special things than
others.

One day her mother said to her: 'Come, Little Red
Riding Hood, here is a piece of cake and a bottle of wine;
would you help me take them to your grandmother? She is
ill and weak, and they will do her good. Set out before it gets
hot, and when you are going, walk nicely and quietly and do
not run off the path, or you may fall and break the bottle,
and then your grandmother will get nothing; and when you
go into her room, don't forget to say,
don't peep into every corner before you do it.
“Yes! I could.” said the little girl.
On the way to her grandmother’s home, there were
many ugly events, but the little girl could fight with them by
using the 'Little Red Riding Hood’.

They would transport the most expensive parcel of
diamonds from South Africa to New York. A few hours
earlier, someone had told the police that thieves would try to
steal the diamonds. Therefore, they carefully observed

men carried the parcel into the Customs House and took it
on the plan as quickly as possible. And it looks like the same
as the parcel of diamonds. But detectives didn't care about
the detail. When two detectives found that something was
wrong, two others opened the parcel. What a pity, the
precious parcel was full of stones and sand! And they didn’t
know which department thieves take the plane. Nothing is
harder than with the same parcel.

Never Too Old to Learn 一般将来时
I have just received a letter from my old school,
informing me that my former headmaster, Mr. Stuart Page,
will be retiring nest week. Pupils of the school, old and new,
will be sending him a present to mark the occasion. All those
who have contributed towards the gift will sign their names
in a large album which will be sent to the headmaster’s

home. We shall all remember Mr. Page for his patience and
understanding and for the kind encouragement he gave us
when so unwillingly to school. A great many former pupils
will be attending a farewell dinner in his honor next
Thursday. It is a curious coincidence that the day before his

forty years. After he has retired, he will devote himself to
gardening. For him, this will be an entirely new hobby. But
this does not matter, for, as he has often remarked, one is
never too old to learn.

If I were a bird虚拟语气
Last night, I made a dream, that I am a bird. If I were a
bird, I could fly freely in the sky without any barrier. I
would do anything that I want in my leisure time, it is my
dream. Freedom means you don’t need to follow other
anytime. If I were a bird, I could go everywhere that I want.
It tastes so good. If I built a beautiful house on the tree, I
would invite all of my friends to my house.
There are many animals in my dream; one of them had
told me “If I were you, I wouldn’t choose like that”. He
wished, if he were a duck, he should stay in water. It is so

wonderful! But I wouldn’t change my mind to be a bird.
If I were a bird, I should help some poor animals and
