The voice of courage

What

is

courage?

According

to

Oxford

Advanced

Learner’s

Dictionary,

it

means

the

ability

to do

something

dangerous, or

to

face

pain

or

opposition

without

showing

fear.

Different

people,

however,

have

different

interpretations

of

courage.

From

my

point

of

view,

courage arises not only when people are in face of dangerous situation,

but when they are trying something new, to realize their dream or throw

away bad habits. In other words, it is an invisible strength which helps

people when they lack confidence or fear of doing something.

Courage

exists

when

people

are

facing

something

difficult

or

dangerous. People can take their own courage and also can gain courage

from others. For me, my courage was stem

from my father’s

voice.

In

my

memory,

the

most

impressed

thing

was

happen

in

my

high

school life.

High school is the first time I leave home for study, it

is

a

boarding

school,

I

can’t

go

home

when

I

finish

one

day’s

classes,

I

should stay there.

To me, everything

is full of attractive, and I have so many vacancy

time

to

do

what

I

want, such

as play

football,

read

novels.

Those

are

good to my school life. But I was addict to play online games. That’s too

bad. Anytime if I have no class, I will go to internet cafes to play games.

It influenced my normal study and life seriously. It

leads to many bad

consequences.

For

instance,

I

couldn

’t

concentrate

on

the

classes,

I

didn’t

understand

what

the

teacher

said.

And

I

always

sleep

in

the

classes. After the exams, When the scores

came out, I was scared. It’s so

bad that I don’t know how to face my parents.

When

the

new

year’s

holiday,

I

returned

home.

My

parents

were

very

happy,

they did

a

lot of delicious

food,

and

when

we

had

lunch,

Father and Mother were giving me more fish and meat. Even my bowl

was piled up like a little hill. Father asked me in great concern,

“

Don't

study too late into the night. Do be careful of your health. Have you had

any

examinations

recently?

”

My

face

turned

red.

I didn't dare

to

give

Father an answer. I hadn't made any

progress in my studies. I did badly

in all subjects. I only got 60 for mathematics and failed in physics. My
