CURRICULUM
Maple Leaf high school students
complete the same courses, are assessed by the
same standards, meet the same learning
outcomes, and write the same Grade 10, 11,
and 12 provincial examinations as any
student enrolled in British Columbia, Canada.
Therefore, our students
graduate with the B.C. high school diploma
(Dogwood
Certificate) and their
official transcripts of marks are issued by B.C.'s
Ministry of
Education. The academic
program is organized on a rotating 5 block, two
semester
schedule. Classes are 70
minutes long.
This year we
have launched the Maple Leaf Global curriculum
that aligns with British
Columbia
curriculum, but is specifically designed to meet
the unique skills and needs
of our
students. By the end of the 2015-16 school year,
30 courses will be developed,
and
implemented.

尊敬的家长：
您好！
首先感谢您选择镇江枫叶学校提供的教育服务。为了您的孩子学业有成、留学顺利，
写这封信提醒您为孩子留学做好家庭方面的准备。
中国学生留学都要向外国使馆申请签证手续，
我校申办 各国签证率已连年保持
100%
成功。
为了继续维持
100%
的签证率，我们将不懈努力，同时请您配合学校的指导，做好留学存款和
家庭方面的准备。
现在，
加拿大驻 华大使馆针对加拿大留学签证政策做出了对枫叶学生有利的调整，
推出了
SDS
学习直入计划，大大简化了申请所需的材料及存款历史和金额要求。但符合简化政策申
请条件的申请人需要同时满足以下两个条件
:

就读于加拿大在华海外高中；二
.
直升加拿大大
学或学院的大一，不需要学习任何语言课程。对于满足条件的申请人，在资金方面，只需由加
拿大使馆指定的金融机构出具、
显示申请人已存入充足资金以负担其在加拿大的第 一年学业的
GIC
有效证明副本（一万加币，学生升入高三年级并取得大 学录取通知书后，学校统一安排存
款途径）和提供能支付申请人第一年学费的存款证明。
您的孩子在枫叶就读，毕业后将获得加拿大
BC
省高中毕业证，自动满足了第一个条件，
因为学生目前尚无
12
年级成绩单，我们无法准确判断您的孩子是否满足第二个条件，因此，
留
学中心建议：在签证递交前
12
个月，您需要存入至少等价于

万人民币的定期存款

到期
后不用取出，
自动转存），在

年级进行大学申报时，如您孩子的成绩满足了第二个条件，< /p>
这些存款已满足简化政策
SDS

留学中心提醒您，存款需存定期；存人民币或自由
流通外币均可；存孩子或家长名下（澳

充其他公证或证明材料）；存任何大银行均可

Pathways

Maple
Leaf
International
School-Zhenjiang,
we
encourage
our
students
to
develop
their
strengths
and
interests
throughout
their
high
school
experience.
We
work
with
students
to
help
them clarify
their educational and career goals so that they
may continue their studies at a college
or
university
that
is
best
suited
for
their
needs.
Once
the
students
identify
the
area
of
study
in
which they are interested, it is
important that they choose the appropriate courses
in Grades 11
and 12 so that they meet
the university entrance requirements for that
particular program. In order
to assist
students in making their course choices, we help
students link their area of study to an
Educational Pathway. Log on to the

Each
Pathway has a list of required and recommended
Grade 11 and 12 courses. In March of each
year, students choose their courses
according to the requirements of their Pathway.
Students may
change their Pathway from
year to year but they may find that they have to
make up a required
course.
The
Science
Pathway
is
recommended
for
students
who
are
unsure
of
which
Pathway
is
best for them as this would allow them
the most options. The key to making good decisions
is to
first become knowledgeable. With
this in mind, we encourage our students to discuss
career and
educational options with
their parents, teachers, counselors, and academic
advisors.

Not all universities and colleges have
the same entrance requirements but most
universities require
4 academic courses
(some require 5). Of these courses, one must be an
English course

accept Communications 12. Colleges generally have
less restrictive

requirements.
Specific
schools
for
Applied
and
Fine
Arts
may
not
require

academic
courses but may ask students to submit
a portfolio of their work. Therefore, be sure to
